As the first Nigerian institution to become a Principal Plus Member of Visa, we sponsored our partner-banks for Visa membership leading to the issuance of Visa cards in Nigeria, upgrading of hardware and software in Nigeria to EMV standard and acceptance of EMV cards at acceptance devices such as Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and Point of Sale Terminal (POS).

As joint acquiring company for Visa and its Nigerian member-banks, we have a secure and reliable acquiring network enabling Visa cardholders from all over the world to make payments securely at merchant locations in Nigeria.

As Processor, we enable our client-banks to issue Visa cards to their customers and to accept Visa cards at acceptance devices.

ValuCard does not issue cards. We process card transactions for banks/financial institutions that issue cards; we acquire transactions at Merchants' Points of Sale and we also settle electronic financial transactions between Nigerian Banks and members of Visa.
